Charles De Leon grew up in the Badlands area of North Philadelphia. Upon graduating high school he served in the United States Marine Corps. He earned his undergrad in Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix and a masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella. Currently, he is the clinical supervisor in the Therapeutic Nursery at the Children Crisis Treatment Center. Charles has spent the last 14 years helping children and families work through trauma and other behavioral and mental health problems.
Seven years ago Charles started on his journey of healing from his own trauma of childhood sexual abuse. He was taken back by the lack of resources and advocacy for men who have been sexually abused. This left him feeling isolated and fearful of his own thoughts and emotions. Charles drive to help other men with similar experiences led him to start his blog in 2014
